Thank you for your partnership with us. Know that you are making a difference in people's lives across New Zealand by helping to connect Kiwis to Christ through media. People like Phoebe who God has impacted through Life FM:
"In 2015 my world fell apart. I started having uncontrollable anxiety and got to the point where I couldn’t even look after myself. I was bedridden with severe depression. I had to leave my management position in an awesome company and my dreams of finishing my degree crumbled. I was angry and ashamed. It’s been a long and winding road, but the very first thing I did that led me back to the Lord and into a season of healing, love and indescribable peace was tuning into Life FM. Six months into my downward spiral in a carpark I fumbled through radio stations trying to find something decent. Life FM was the only channel that would play clearly and from that day has walked through this illness with me in a way no one else could. This station allowed God to move, to heal and ultimately call me home. Two years on, Life FM is the only radio station I listen to because no matter what kind of day I’m having I know God is working through the music and the awesome hosts to speak into my life. Today I’m working, newly-engaged, part of a church I call home, serving on our Alpha team and currently working on weening off the last of my meds. Life FM you were my life support, and now I am privileged to be yours."
Because of you, stories like Phoebe’s are made possible and it is so encouraging to have you partnering with us. Together we are making it possible for God to change people’s lives through this Christian media ministry.
As followers of Christ, Luke 2:8-14 sums up what we celebrate at Christmas nicely:
"That night there were shepherds staying in the fields nearby, guarding their flocks of sheep. Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord’s glory surrounded them. They were terrified, but the angel reassured them. "Don’t be afraid!" he said. "I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. The Saviour - yes, the Messiah, the Lord - has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David! And you will recognise him by this sign: You will find a baby wrapped snugly in strips of cloth, lying in a manger. Suddenly, the angel was joined by a vast host of others - the armies of heaven - praising God and saying, "Glory to God in highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased." Luke 2:8-14 (NLT)
But for many in New Zealand, Christmas has a whole different meaning and much of what is broadcast by commercial and state broadcasters throughout December reinforces a materialistic Christmas worldview.
However, your partnership with us means that this Christmas season, Rhema Media will again, through Rhema, Star, Life FM and Shine, be broadcasting the true message of Jesus’ birth. A message of faith, hope and love. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, together we share the good news across our nation, right into homes, cars, prisons and beaches, wherever people are.
"For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him." John 3:16-17 (NLT)
For some, this Christmas will be a time of excitement as they get together with family and friends. For others, it will be sad as they may be apart from their loved ones or other pressures of life crush down upon them. However, because of your generous support, regardless of what is happening in their lives during this season, everyone in New Zealand can tune into messages that bring comfort, companionship, encouragement, faith, hope and love.
There is some great programming lined up so please let your friends, family, neighbours and whoever you see, know where they can find entertaining and life giving programmes.
From the team here at Rhema Media, thank you for your support in 2017. We look forward to 2018 with great anticipation to see how God uses this ministry to touch more lives across New Zealand.
We pray that you will have a wonderful and safe Christmas.
